The word nature is a commonly used word and it is used in a variety of context. The nature I am talking about is the natural, physical, or material world.

Beautiful isn’t it? Yeah I shot that. I declare this world is so beautiful that I can hardly believe it exists. The beauty of nature has a profound effect upon my senses. The most striking of these is the unique diversity in the colors around us which creates a wonderful natural painting. The beauty in nature around us is one of the greatest blessings of God. This beauty allows us to choose places and many destinations for the sake of rest, recreation, sight seeing and the best of times. You might be wondering why I’m talking about nature. Well I for one have always been a lover of nature and being giving the opportunity to work on a photo book for an examinational project I decided to choose the concept “Nature”.
Having my concept, it was time to execute it. Last year summer I had the opportunity to travel abroad and I took some beautiful pictures of nature and this also boosted me to really work on nature. On the 17th of February, 2020 after a project submission, a friend of mine by name Carin and I took a walk on the streets of East Legon to take pictures. I captured pictures of different flowers... most of them I had never seen before but were very beautiful. I felt limited in the area and needed a variety of natural things apart from the ones around me. So Carin and I together with another friend Sarah decided we go to the beach the next day. Before the beach we had the chance to visit the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum. Ever heard of it? If not I’ll urge you to visit this tourist site and learn more about some historical events that happened in Ghana. Well at the Mausoleum, I took a picture of a beautiful peacock and a tree I fell in love with on sight. Fast forward, we went to the beach and I got quite amazing pictures too. Ones of nature I have never seen before but heard of and others I have seen before. Satisfied? Yes I was. I then decided to edit the pictures using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom on my phone. I used exposure, highlights, shadows, split toning, curve and a bit of contrast in most of the editing. And voila! I made a photo book of nature. “In every walk with nature one receives far more than he seeks” — John Muir.
Below are the pictures I took and edited.
